Planning Checklists

I want to help make your life easier when any of these events happen to you. Please reach out to any of the experts with help and questions. However, if you want a more human personal connection, I would love to help you in any way I can. I have been there and know some of what you will be going through. I can walk and talk you through most things you may need. In the meantime, please use these checklists to feel better about your situation and remember that preparation brings peace.

You will be asked to gather this information (and then some) when one or more of these events happen. When you are in a place of grief or stress, it is hard to gather this information. If you have most of it organized in one place, you will be more relaxed and able to focus on what needs to be done.

I have put together some checklists to guide you through the process of getting your shit together. Please note again that I am not any kind of financial, legal, or tax expert. But I am a woman whose husband passed away unexpectedly in one of the most tragic ways imaginable and who has learned quite a bit.

As all our life situations are different, please use these checklists as guides for your planning. You can review these checklists to guide you through the 4Ds and know you will see repeated items because you need some of these same items for all the 4Ds. Keep in mind that not all items will apply to you, but if you have any questions, please seek the advice of one of the experts. I am here to give you personal insight and experience, not professional expertise. I am not a “Professional Widow.”
